De par son histoire, la Colombie possède une réputation sulfureuse qui peut refroidir certains.. Pourtant, lorsque l’on s’y rend, c’est un tout autre visage que l’on découvre..

Colombie, la joie de vivre !

En effet, lorsque l’on parle de la Colombie en France, le nom de Pablo Escobar apparaîtra forcément dans la conversation. Au contraire en Colombie lorsque l’on échange avec les locaux, ils ne mentionneront pas son nom. Les Colombiens ont vraiment la volonté de se défaire de l’image pour laquelle on la connaît, ils mettent donc en avant leur patrimoine naturel et culturel et surtout nous accueille chaleureusement, leur gentillesse et leur politesse nous ont vraiment marqué.

Les Colombiens sont si fiers de voir des voyageurs venir découvrir leur pays qu’il est très simple d’y nouer des relations sincères. C’est également un peuple très festif, ils possèdent une joie de vivre contagieuse, il n’est donc pas rare de se retrouver embarqué à danser la salsa ou la cumbia au milieu de la rue ????

Panoramas de La Colombie

Se retrouver en pleine nature pour découvrir des paysages incroyables, c’est ce qui vous fait vibrer ? Ou alors vous êtes plus plage, les vacances c’est fait pour se reposer ! Si vous partez à l’étranger, c’est pour découvrir une nouvelle culture et rencontrer les populations locales ! L’aventure, c’est votre dada, vous voulez sortir de votre zone de confort ? Et bien bonne nouvelle, la Colombie réponds à toutes ces attentes !

La Colombie possède un patrimoine naturel incroyable ! Il existe de nombreuses randonnées permettant de découvrir des paysages uniques. Parfois entourés de montagnes, de cascades, d’autres fois au milieu de forêts tropicales, ou encore bordés
par le littoral.

Le pays possède un nombre incalculable de plages paradisiaques avec à l’Est la Côte Caraïbe et ses îles où l’on trouve des plages avec une eau transparente, du sable fin et une grande biodiversité marine ! À l’Ouest, la Côte Pacifique avec de grandes plages désertes bordées de palmiers et des petits villages de pêcheurs authentiques.

Mais aussi, de nombreuses villes qui méritent le détour, comme la magnifique Carthagènes des Indes ou encore Medellin et sa fameuse Comuna 13, de notre côté nous avons vraiment aimé l’ambiance authentique des petits villages typiques de Guatapé et Salento ! Des villes toutes plus colorées les unes que les autres. On y découvre les traditions, la gastronomie, l’architecture coloniale, l’art et l’ambiance colombienne…

Sportivement Colombie …

En Colombie, il est possible de vivre de nombreuses expériences vraiment insolites ! Partir en trek pendant plusieurs jours dans la jungle, pratiquer des sports extrêmes, partir à l’aventure au coeur de l’Amazonie à pêcher des piranhas ou encore naviguer sur un fleuve remplit de crocodiles ! Il y en a pour tous les goûts et il est possible d’adapter l’expérience en fonction de chaque profil. Même les familles avec enfants peuvent donc envisager de s’engager dans un petit périple hors des sentiers battus !

4x4

De notre côté, on a opté pour partir à la découverte du désert de la Guajira pendant 3 jours en 4×4. Une aventure extraordinaire à vivre grâce aux paysages qu’offre le lieu. Mais également pour l’expérience humaine que l’on y vit.. Assurément une expérience qui nous fait changer notre vision sur beaucoup de choses.

Le Désert de Guajira

Tout au long de l’itinéraire, nous longeons la côte pour rejoindre le point le plus au nord de l’Amérique du Sud ! Nous traversons des dunes à perte de vue, des vallées de cactus. Bref, des étendues de rien du tout où le sol était complètement craquelé… Nous découvrons aussi de magnifiques plages sur la route (et quel bonheur d’avoir la possibilité de se baigner alors que l’on traverse un désert !)

En chemin, nous traversons plusieurs petits villages. C’est à ce moment que nous pouvons réellement constater la pauvreté présente et la difficulté de vivre au milieu d’un désert… À chaque village que nous traversions, des enfants attendaient sur le bord de la route afin de faire des « barrages » à l’aide d’une corde pour nous arrêter. C’était vraiment difficile à voir humainement, car ils réclamaient simplement de la nourriture ou de l’eau pour survivre…
Nous sommes en contact sur place avec la meilleure agence ! Notre chauffeur et guide Adrian avait donc prévu le nécessaire pour que l’on puisse donner à chaque village que nous traversions. Il est clair que nous voyons les choses différemment après avoir assister à cela.. Un petit électrochoc qui nous fait relativiser sur beaucoup de choses !

La nuit nous dormions en hamac… Bien que je redoutais un peu les nuits de cette manière là en plein désert. Je dois avouer que j’ai très bien dormis et que j’en aurais bien ramené un avec moi !

Mais je vous rassure, il est également possible de dormir en chambre privé ????

Nos coups de coeur !

De notre côté, on a vraiment eu un coup de coeur pour la Vallée de Cocorà et ses grands palmiers de cire ! L’endroit se prête également aux balades à cheval, sorties VTT. Ou encore visite de plantations de café, car c’est la région principale de production de café en Colombie ☕
